Homemade BBQ Sauce
Our family favorite homemade BBQ sauce recipe! If you taste it you wont want to go back to store bought!! Its so hard to find a BBQ sauce recipe without high fructose corn syrup that taste good in the stores. At least I haven’t found one that we loved in the stores. But when I made this one it was a huge hit right away! Also its super easy!
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups homemade ketchup
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 Tbsp honey mustard
1 Tbsp paprika
2 tsp onion powder
1 Tbsp. Rusted Rooster Farm garlic powder
1/2 cup Water
Add all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Once it gets to a boil turn the heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes or until sauce is thickened. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature then cover and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 wks.
This is great for maple sausage and egg corn tortillas rollups for breakfast! We mix homemade mayonnaise, mustard and BBQ sauce together then put the mixture on the corn tortillas, before putting the sausage and eggs in it. These are so good and a healthy way to start the farm work day!
